Free access to journal articles for users in the developing world
Some of our recommended resources require a subscription to view the full text. The World Health Organization’s (WHO) Health InterNetwork Access to Research Initiative (HINARI) provides free or very low cost online access to the major journals in biomedical and related social sciences to local, not-for-profit institutions in developing countries. Many of these journals are focused on nutrition and infant and young child feeding, including The European Journal of Food and Nutrition, Nutrition Journal, and Maternal and Child Nutrition.
The HINARI program, set up by WHO together with major publishers, provides access to one of the world’s largest collections of biomedical and health literature—more than 3,750 journal titles are now available to health institutions in 113 countries.
To learn more and register, visit the HINARI website.
