Ghana: Promoting appropriate complementary feeding practices through a social marketing strategy

Summary: This country brief provides a summary of IYCN’s activities aimed to improve complementary feeding practices in Ghana. In collaboration with the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition, PATH, and the Ghana Health Service, the project developed and implemented a social marketing strategy to promote appropriate complementary feeding behaviors and encourage increased use of high-quality, fortified complementary foods to curb malnutrition among children 6-23 months of age.
